Exploring the key issues involved in caring for children and young people. Combines theory and practical work experience in an early years setting, including: Play in Practice: Workplace Experience; Developing an Understanding of Working with Children: Workplace Experience; Child Development: Theory; Child Development; Services for Children and Young People; Play in Early Education and Childcare; Childcare and Development External SQA Exam. A two-day work placement in a Nursery and Primary School setting.
This has been designed for individuals who are working within a Children and Young People setting and will provide evidence of an individual’s competency in supporting children in all aspects of daily life.
Provides the skills, knowledge and experience to develop a career within the childcare sector, covering a variety of subjects relevant to working with children and young people. Includes a mandatory work placement element with the requirement to complete 3 SVQ level 3 units as part of the award.
This has been designed for individuals who are working in a practitioner’s role within a Children and Young People setting and will provide evidence on an individuals competency in supporting Children and Young People in all aspects of daily living.
