This is a nationally recognised qualification and valued award for people who want to work in a variety of early learning and childcare settings, supporting children and young people with varying needs. On successful completion you will be eligible to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) at practitioner level.
The National Certificate in Early Education and Childcare is aimed at school leavers, adult returners or those in employment in the Early Education and Childcare sector as a basis for building on good practice, continuing professional development or for those who wish to progress to further study in Early Education and Childcare.
This qualification covers a wide range of knowledge and skills required by those working with children of all ages and with differing needs in a range of childcare settings.
This vocational course aims to provide students with the skills and knowledge required to work with children 0 – 16 years in a variety of settings and to qualify students to work in a supervisory capacity. Successful completion of the course will allow students to register with the Scottish Social Services Council at practitioner level.
